Financial Planning and Investment Research Analyst, Fairfield, NJ:
Prepare recruitment income planning by analyzing and allocating investment portfolios. Researching and investigating available investment opportunities to determine whether they fit into financial plans. Propose the buying and selling of securities to re-balance client portfolios to their suitability and personal investment objectives. Provide investment projects and instruct investment timing to the firm, staff, and the clients. Prepare college savings projections and manage 529 college saving plans. Responsible for daily operational procedures related to mutual fund orders. Maintain and manage client accounts, which include depositing of checks and making investment recommendations for new money. Directly manage client relationships. Perform daily updates of clients' current assets through Branchnet, EMoney, Orion and Morningstar applications. Review financial periodicals, stock and bond reports, business publications and other material to identify potential investments for clients and to keep abreast of trends and business climates affecting market conditions and investment programs and projects, such as price, yield, stability, future trends in investment risks, and economic and political influences.
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Financial Economics or Mathematics. Must have strong knowledge of finance terms and concepts including gathering cost basis for accounts and reconciling daily commissions. Must have FINRA license Series 7 and Series 63 required. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Strong knowledge of financial planning and investment-oriented databases and analytical software (i.e. Branchnet, EMoney, Orion and Morningstar). Must have the ability to execute trades in client accounts. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and ability to organize and prioritize. Excellent problem solving/decision making and adhering to timelines. Candidates must have strong sales, marketing, and business development skills and to be self‐motivated with a dynamic, confident personality, a strong work ethic and passion for Customer Service succeeding. Ability to explain complex financial concepts in easily understood manner. 40 hours per week, M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Must have proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
